Johnnie Faye (Coleman) Chatman was born on March 17, 1947 to Vernell Myers-Coleman and Charles Chatman in Henderson, Texas. She was born as a twin to Johnny MacRay (Coleman) Chatman. The twins were the eldest children born. Johnnie Faye attended Dunbar Elementary School, Lowell Junior High School and Phoenix Union High School. She met and married Raymond G. Madison immediately after high school graduation. To that union, two daughters, Yolanda and Arlene, were born in Phoenix, Arizona. Johnnie Faye (Coleman) Chatman was born on March 17, 1947 to Vernell Myers-Coleman and Charles Chatman in Henderson, Texas. She was born as a twin to Johnny MacRay (Coleman) Chatman. The twins were the eldest children born. Johnnie Faye attended Dunbar Elementary School, Lowell Junior High School and Phoenix Union High School. She met and married Raymond G. Madison immediately after high school graduation. To that union, two daughters, Yolanda and Arlene, were born in Phoenix, Arizona. She then moved to Anchorage, Alaska with her husband as part of his military assignment. Johnnie Faye's husband was assigned back to Phoenix, Arizona where she returned to raise her family. The union ended in divorce in 1973. Johnnie began her professional training by attending Phoenix College where she completed her degree in the nurse's assistance program. She was then employed by Phoenix Children's Hospital as a nurse's assistant. In 1976, she moved to San Diego, California where she was employed by the San Diego Children's Hospital as a nurse's assistant and San Diego State University as a head cook. She returned to Phoenix, Arizona in 1998 to be with her family. Johnnie Faye is proceeded in death by her mother, Vernell Myers-Coleman, Father Charles Chatman, adopted father, Clifford Coleman, brothers Johnny MacRay Chatman, Robert Leroy Coleman, Granddaughter Brittanee Howard, Great-Granddaughter Jayme Brianne Hendrix and brother-in-law Leo T. Miller. She leaves to cherish her memory her (two) daughters: Yolanda Settles, Arlene (David) Banks; sister Charlesetta Coleman-Miller; Grand-daughters Janvier (Noah) Taylor-Champion, Shamori (Patrick) Settles, Alaina (Mathew) Miles; Grandson Nathan Banks, Sabiana (Lenny) Settles; Great-Grandsons Rahjean Jones, Kimahni Young, Jaycen Miles; Great-Granddaughters Taylor Adams, Jordyn Brown; Adopted Granddaughter DeAndria Eason; Cousin LaVern (Donald) Tarkington; sister-in-law Lillie Ruth Chatman; Godchildren Josie (Derek) Boykin and Keilayn Greenwood and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
