Ona F. Tang went peacefully to join the Lord on November 24, 2016. Ona was born May 19, 1943 in San Diego, California and joined the Lord in His Kingdom on November 24, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 37 happy years, James F. Tang and three sons Dean Johnson (Linda), Allan Johnson (Mary Jane), and Rodney Treguboff (Maria). Ona F. Tang went peacefully to join the Lord on November 24, 2016. Ona was born May 19, 1943 in San Diego, California and joined the Lord in His Kingdom on November 24, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 37 happy years, James F. Tang and three sons Dean Johnson (Linda), Allan Johnson (Mary Jane), and Rodney Treguboff (Maria). Ona is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Ona is also survived by an older brother, Dennis Wincentsen (Bonnie), and an older sister, Gertrude Root (Bill Root Sr.). Ona's Mother (Lillian Cooley) and Fathers (George, Harold, Dawson) have predeceased her. Ona attended Morristown and Montebello grade schools and graduated in 1961 from Central High School. Her work history included Sam Scharaga Insurance 1961 to early 1970's, State Farm Charley Trantina Insurance early 70's to 1987, and Roadrunner Fire and Safety, Excel Fire and Service First Fire from 1986 until 2016. Ona loved camping, fishing, bowling, traveling, cooking, collecting cookie jars, performing crossword puzzles and assembling jigsaw puzzles. Ona loved assisting in planning activities for the Ong Ko Met Association. For those who knew our Ona, she was a friend to all, a mother, and an enemy to none. A memorial service will be held on December 7, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the Serenity Chapel in Greenwood Cemetery at 2300 West Van Buren. A memorial luncheon will be held at the Great Wall Restaurant, 3446 W. Camelback Rd. after the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that contributions be made to the Ong Ko Met Association Scholarship Fund in memory of Ona F. Tang at 2602 N. 16 th Street.
